June has 20 years of experience in medical and surgical weight management, nutrition counseling and education. June’s past experiences include being a Bariatric Dietitian at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for five years and nine years at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) in the medical weight management program and five years as the Associate Director of the BWH Dietetic Internship. She taught nutrition labs at University of New Hampshire, was an Adjunct Professor at Simmons University and was a co-instructor of the Healthy Habits Program sponsored by the YMCA of Greater Boston for several years.
June’s specialties include adult and pediatric weight management, eating disorders, vegetarianism, kidney disease, bariatric surgery, thyroid issues, menopause, autoimmune diseases and more! She utilizes a trauma informed, non-diet approach with her clients. June has expanded her knowledge and experience over the past few years to incorporate integrative nutrition into her practice. This approach looks for the “root cause” of various health issues, considers a person’s overall wellness (physical, mental, emotional and environmental) and has a focus on a building a healthy microbiome (gut health). She is always learning new ways to support her client’s health and wellness.
June is a mom of two silly and active boys. Outside of work she can be found in the kitchen baking and making homemade ice cream, listening to 80’s music, rollerblading or biking, taking a nap, reading about nutrition and eating nachos with her husband.
